We are excited to announce that we are recording a new album this year. A release party and intimate concert featuring the entire Ensemble is planned for SUNDAY, MAY 9th at the Gates on Roblin. Tickets are being offered to donors at designated levels and our corporate sponsors for the evening as seating is limited. More information is available from the Chai office or during our annual fundraising campaign, starting this month.

The Chai Folk Ensemble has been widely acclaimed as North America's oldest and largest Israeli folk dance ensemble. Founded in 1964 by the late Sarah Sommer, Chai has built an international reputation for the unique blend of international dance, music and song that gives it its name...Hebrew for "alive".

A truly all-encompassing Jewish cultural experience, Chai is made up of more than 40 dancers, singers and musicians. It is the only Israeli folk ensemble in North America to perform exclusively to live musical accompaniment.
